We a booked a Balcony Mini-Suite (3 guests)

  • Each day, we had breakfast on the ship and took our time disembarking, spending a handful of hours off the ship and returning for a light lunch.

  • In Nassau, we spent the day at Junkanoo Beach, a short, easy walk from the cruise port. The girls rented paddle boards, swam and sunbathed.

After breakfast, we tendered (in a large ferry boat) to an exclusive NCL private island where the food and drink package extends from the ship. The crew spends the day loading and unloading everything from the cruise ship to the island and back.

There are two bars, Bacardi Bar and Patron Bar, as well as two restaurants, Jumbey Beach Grill and Abaco Taco Bar. We took advantage of the free beach chairs and spent the day relaxing.

We took the Resorts World Free Tram from the ship to Fisherman's Village and walked around briefly before landing at the public beach right near the cruise port. The Bahamas has beautiful turquoise water, but this tiny island was the most stunning. The girls spent the day foraging for conch shells and found some of the biggest I've seen in "the wild."

We arrived in Freeport where there are shops and our van rental company located conveniently at the port. After watching this TikTok, we decided to give her itinerary a try and it worked perfectly:

1️⃣ Island Jeep & Rental Car: pick up van

2️⃣ Spanish Main Drive: Millionaire Row

3️⃣ Mathertown Road: Cleveland House Restaurant (free access to private white sand beaches of Mathertown and watch people feed the pigs 🐷 on site)

4️⃣ Ritz Beach Resort on Taino Beach (free parking lot): walk down the beach to Pirates Cove Zipline and Waterpark

5️⃣ Lucaya Marketplace: restaurants and shopping (tried Daddy Browns: famous conch salad)

HOTEL (2 nights)

Hyatt Place Delray Beach 15,000 points/night with two queen beds, a sofa bed, free breakfast and an excellent location - walkable to the beach and surrounded by restaurants and shops. We had a rental car to explore beyond Delray Beach and hotel covered parking is $25/night.
